About Me

Bio

Born in 1987 in the city of Florence, I developed a love for art history from a young age, thanks to my mother, who took me to museums, parks, and events around the city.

My family is originally from Florence, and I was born very close to the historic center, where I’ve lived all my life.

In kindergarten, one of my friends’ mother, who was an English teacher in Hungary, began teaching me the language. I continued my studies every summer at colleges in the UK, Ireland, and Wales.

During my five years at university, I decided to focus on translation, working from English to Italian and from Spanish to Italian. I obtained a Master’s Degree in Theory and Practice of Literary Translation at the University of Florence.

However, when a job opportunity as a translator materialized, I realized it wasn’t what I had hoped for. I wanted a career that would allow me to meet new people and gain experiences with them. So, I left that path and enrolled in a program to obtain a tour guide license.

After a year-long course, I earned the qualification to guide at the main sites in Florence and beyond, marking the birth of Wanderlust Jade.

It was a life-changing moment. I discovered a passion that had been latent, and now I’m ready to embrace it fully!
